Primary Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for managing pipeline projects throughout the planning, design and construction phases. Activities include coordination with consultants, inspectors, contractors and project stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
Preparation and review of water main drawings. Coordination of easements, right- of- way, permits, and Bid document preparation.
Communicating with consultants, contractors, local operations, customers and City personnel.
Monitoring and managing project specific budgets and schedules for several medium to small water main Projects.
Conducting on-site progress meetings with contractors and local personnel
Coordination and review of state and city road and infrastructure improvement drawings and preparation of relocation documents
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
Knowledge:
General knowledge of Engineering, Project Management and construction management practices related to planning, design, construction for water or sewer distribution/collection systems, contract administration and construction technology.
Skills:
Strong project management and multi-tasking skills Ability to effectively interact with colleagues, governmental agencies, consultants and the general public.
Project planning skills. Good verbal and written communication skills Computer literacy. Competent in the use of MS Office softwares
Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering, inspection, utility environment. project delivery of major water resources projects
