Account Executive - Territory of Central Indiana
An Account Executive ("AE") job position has opened with our technology solutions client in Indiana. The sales territory will cover Indianapolis area, south. This is a full-time, permanent, job position.
The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for acquiring and maintaining business relationships with revenue producing customers. The AE is required to achieve monthly quota assignments in activity, revenue production, and profitability. The AE is responsible for developing and executing a strategic territory sales plan for the sale of technology products and services in the K-12, Commercial, Public, and Healthcare sectors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Acquire new business opportunities related to technology sales to new customers (60%)
Develop sales leads, and call on prospective customers in person, and via phone.
Provide information about the company's products and services.
Prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers.
Negotiate and execute the successful close of sales opportunities to produce new revenue.
Manage existing customer accounts (30%)
Maintains consistent follow-up with customers through personal visits, phone calls, emails, etc.
Works closely with other internal departments to ensure the successful implementation of product and service opportunities.
Administrative Tasks (10%)
Maintains current knowledge of assigned markets and applicable technology products and services offered by the company.
Completes various administrative reports including sales, expenses, and forecast in a timely manner.
Track customer interactions and manage sales opportunities in customer database.
EXPERIENCE:
A strong background in sales is required for this position.
Ability to form and maintain long-term sales relationships with prospects and customers.
Proven ability to sell product and service related offerings and close new business.
Minimum of 3 years business-to-business sales - technology related products and services is preferred, but not required.
Bachelor degree preferred, but not required dependent upon job-applicable sales experience
KNOWLEDGE:
General selling principles including relationship selling.
General business principles in applying products and services to assigned markets.
Basic understanding of technology products and their applications in a business environment.
SKILLS:
Able to manage multiple processes and tasks.
Must be able to effectively manage a sales cycle.
Personal computer skills: email, database entry, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications; presenting; and active listening.
Ability to deal professionally with differing personalities in a variety of settings.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
