Provides support to Bank Protection team as well as review and process fraud claims/prevention of electronic fraud.
Assist in fraud case management and support Bank Security Officers and Director of Bank Protection as needed.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Review and assist (investigate when needed) with fraud infiltrated through electronic/technology channels.
Review Check and Kite Modules to identify check fraud.
Review Falcon Alerts to detect debit fraud trends.
Assist with debit card dispute investigations as needed.
Review Wire fraud module exceptions and investigate anomalies to identify potential fraudulent wires.
Review Remote Deposit Capture fraud module to identify potential fraudulent deposits/endorsement issues.
Review Mobile Deposit Capture fraud module and investigate anomalies to identify fraud.
Interview and communicate with bank clients regarding potential/actual fraud perpetrated on their accounts and how to avoid fraud in the future.
Communicate and collaborate with consumer and business bankers on fraud identification and mitigations.
When fraud is identified, open a fraud case, investigate, and assist lead investigators whenever needed.
Answer the fraud hotline and respond to fraud questions, providing assistance and guidance to bank personnel for all fraud situations.
Position Requirements:
Education - High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Experience - One (1) or more years of banking experience.
Or direct experience in fraud and/or criminology.
Other - None.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
